What is an affiliate program?

An affiliate program is an agreement in which a business pays another business, an influencer, satisfied customers or any private person ("the affiliate") a commission for creating traffic and/or sales.

An affiliate promotes other companies' products. When someone buys through your affiliate link or uses a voucher you've created, you get a commission.

1. How do I become an affiliate and get an affiliate link?

Become a Wellputt affiliate by creating an account on our website. 

From your customer account, you can ask to become an affiliate by clicking on the tab: Become Affiliate

2. What do I do with my affiliate link?

You can do whatever you want with your affiliate link. If you have a website, you can add your affiliate link to get commissions for referred sales. You can also post it on social media, include it in emails, or write it down for people.

3. Can I use my link on Facebook or YouTube?

Yes. No matter where you post your affiliate link, you will be given credit for any referred sales.

4. Is my commission applied automatically or does the customer have to enter a code when checking out?

Your commission will be credited automatically on your affiliate account when a customer places an order on the Wellputt website from your affiliate link.

If you've created a voucher to share, all sales generated with that voucher will also be added to your commissions.

5. Can I use my link on multiple websites or do I need a different link for each website?

We have 2 online shops: us.wellputt.com (for US deliveries) and eu.wellputt.com (for worldwide deliveries)

You can create an affiliate account on each of the online shops but we advise you to communicate only on one website (the one that corresponds to your location).

6. Can I generate a link for another page than the homepage?

Your affiliate link is available in your affiliate account. You will be able to generate specific links for each product.

7. What if someone clicks but doesn't buy and comes back later to purchase?

Sales are tracked for 30 days after the person clicks on your affiliate link. For example, imagine a user clicks on one of your affiliate links on January 1st, leaves the website, and then finally decides to come back on January 15th to purchase the product. 

Since it’s been less than 30 days from the initial visit, you WILL receive the commission. In order for sales to be tracked, the user must purchase the product on the same computer and browser on which he used the affiliate link and not have cleared his cookies.

8. How do I check my sales?

Sales can be visible in your affiliate account dashboard. Once logged in, you’ll be able to see any sales that you’ve made in the category "Sales & Commissions" of your affiliate account.

9. When do I get paid?

You can ask for your commissions on the customer area, in the tab: My affiliate account / Summary / Request a payment

10. Do I really need a PayPal ID to get paid?

Yes, a PayPal account is required to become an affiliate. If you do not have an account, you can sign up for free at https://www.paypal.com/signup/account.
